TE Vizja high school students can now develop their IT, programming, computer networking, and cybersecurity skills! All thanks to the partnership between TE Vizja and Cisco within the Cisco Networking Academy program. Cisco Academy for schools is a great opportunity to gain practical knowledge, certifications, and digital badges that validate students’ competencies. This allows TE Vizja graduates to enter the job market right after high school and start a career in IT.
Some courses can be completed at your own pace – you plan your learning the way it suits you. Others require instructor support, which helps in better understanding more advanced topics.
What courses are available for high school students?
In the 2025/2026 school year, the Cisco Academy at TE Vizja offers students courses such as:
-
CCNA (Cisco Certified Networking Associate) – a key course for future network administrators
-
DevNet Associate – ideal for those interested in DevOps
-
Python Essentials, C++ Essentials, JavaScript Essentials – programming courses at various levels
-
Junior Cybersecurity Analyst Career Path – preparing for a career in cybersecurity
-
IT Essentials, Linux Essentials – solid foundations in IT and operating systems
And many more opportunities!
The skills acquired in the course are already being used by students – not just in computer science! For example, recently, in Polish language classes, students created a game based on Adam Mickiewicz’s “Dziady,” which they programmed in C++. The idea for this project came from their teacher, Mr. Mateusz Sawicki, who combined literature with modern technology. C++ is one of the programming languages that students learn during the Cisco course, says Krzysztof Kantor, teacher of computer science and Cisco instructor.
Hands-on Experience and Employer-Recognized Certifications
Cisco courses for schools combine theory with practice – at TE Vizja, students use modern online materials, animations, tutorials, and labs that help them understand key concepts. What’s more, the digital badges earned through the courses are stored in a public database, making it easy for employers to verify graduates’ qualifications. These badges can be conveniently saved and shared – via credly.com, email, direct link, embedded on a website, or posted on LinkedIn, Facebook, or X.

Competitions and Extra Opportunities
Every October, there’s an international cybersecurity competition. In 2024, it was co-organized by the McLaren F1 Team! Students, teachers, and parents could earn certificates and points for their academy.
