Cambridge Primary is a programme for young learners that builds strong educational foundations from the very beginning and nurtures curiosity about the world. It is a stage at which children learn not only subjects, but also how to ask questions, collaborate and discover their own potential.
The programme focuses on developing key areas: literacy, numeracy and scientific thinking. At the same time, students gradually build confidence, independence, communication skills and readiness to function in an international environment.
Through subjects such as Mathematics, Digital Literacy and Global Perspectives, children learn to think more broadly, discover connections and ask meaningful questions about the world around them. The programme prepares them for a smooth transition to the next stage – Cambridge Lower Secondary.
Reading, writing, speaking and confident expression
The programme supports the development of phonics, spelling, reading, writing, speaking and listening, building confidence in communication and the ability to express ideas clearly and effectively.
From an early age, students learn to collaborate, listen to others, ask questions and take part in discussion, which strengthens both their language and social development.
Numbers, patterns, logic and practical problem-solving
Students develop an understanding of numbers, relationships, patterns and simple mathematical structures, while also learning logical thinking and practical problem-solving.
The programme builds confidence in using mathematics in everyday situations and creates a strong foundation for the further development of mathematical skills at later stages of education.
Observation, exploration and scientific thinking
Children learn to observe, ask questions, draw simple conclusions and understand the phenomena taking place around them. The programme develops natural curiosity and shows that learning begins with exploring the world.
Students are encouraged to actively explore, to experiment and to look for answers, which strengthens engagement and the desire to learn.
Big ideas, technology and understanding the world
Students develop early digital skills, learning to use technology in a thoughtful, safe and learning-focused way.
The programme encourages children to explore the world from a broader perspective, ask meaningful questions and recognise that learning can connect different areas of knowledge and experience.
Confidence, relationships, safety and healthy habits
Cambridge Primary supports students’ emotional and physical development, helping them understand themselves better, build healthy habits and develop a sense of safety.
Children learn to build relationships, work with others, respond to change and make a positive contribution to their own wellbeing and that of those around them.
The programme builds solid foundations in language, mathematics and scientific thinking, giving children a strong starting point for further development.
From the very beginning, students develop collaboration, communication, independence and problem-solving - skills that stay with them throughout the later stages of education.

Cambridge Lower Secondary is the next stage on the international pathway for students aged 11–14. It provides a structured yet flexible pathway that supports academic progress, skills development and preparation for the next stage of education – Cambridge IGCSE.
At this stage, students deepen their subject knowledge while also developing key academic skills: critical thinking, independent learning, research, information analysis and effective communication. The programme encourages logical argumentation, questioning and the conscious development of each student’s own learning style.
Through a broad and balanced curriculum, students learn to see the world more widely, understand connections between subjects and recognise how they can have an impact on the world around them. Lower Secondary builds strong foundations for further study in Cambridge Upper Secondary (IGCSE) and later pre-university stages of the Cambridge Pathway, Cambridge International A-Levels.
Reading, writing, speaking and listening
The programme develops skilled communicators who can adapt their language to a variety of purposes and audiences, as well as competent readers who appreciate a wide range of texts, including those from different periods and cultures. The programme also builds strong skills in evaluating and analysing both written and spoken language, while providing a solid foundation for further study in English Language, English Literature and Drama.
Students learn to express their thoughts clearly and effectively, adapt their communication to different purposes and audiences, and develop the language maturity required in an international educational environment. Cambridge Lower Secondary English is organised into three strands: Reading, Writing, and Speaking and Listening, with grammar embedded within the Reading and Writing strands.
Patterns, systems, functions and mathematical thinking
Students develop an understanding of key mathematical principles, relationships, functions and systems, as well as increasing confidence and fluency in calculation and the practical application of knowledge.
