Cambridge Primary – the first step in an international educational journey

Cambridge Primary is a programme for young learners that builds strong educational foundations from the very beginning and nurtures curiosity about the world. It is a stage at which children learn not only subjects, but also how to ask questions, collaborate and discover their own potential.

The programme focuses on developing key areas: literacy, numeracy and scientific thinking. At the same time, students gradually build confidence, independence, communication skills and readiness to function in an international environment.

Through subjects such as Mathematics, Digital Literacy and Global Perspectives, children learn to think more broadly, discover connections and ask meaningful questions about the world around them. The programme prepares them for a smooth transition to the next stage – Cambridge Lower Secondary.

English literacy and communication

Reading, writing, speaking and confident expression

Literacy

The programme supports the development of phonics, spelling, reading, writing, speaking and listening, building confidence in communication and the ability to express ideas clearly and effectively.

Communication

From an early age, students learn to collaborate, listen to others, ask questions and take part in discussion, which strengthens both their language and social development.

Mathematics and numeracy

Numbers, patterns, logic and practical problem-solving

Mathematics

Students develop an understanding of numbers, relationships, patterns and simple mathematical structures, while also learning logical thinking and practical problem-solving.

Numeracy

The programme builds confidence in using mathematics in everyday situations and creates a strong foundation for the further development of mathematical skills at later stages of education.

Science and curiosity

Observation, exploration and scientific thinking

Scientific Thinking

Children learn to observe, ask questions, draw simple conclusions and understand the phenomena taking place around them. The programme develops natural curiosity and shows that learning begins with exploring the world.

Exploration and enquiry

Students are encouraged to actively explore, to experiment and to look for answers, which strengthens engagement and the desire to learn.

Digital Literacy and Global Perspectives

Big ideas, technology and understanding the world

Digital Literacy

Students develop early digital skills, learning to use technology in a thoughtful, safe and learning-focused way.

Global Perspectives

The programme encourages children to explore the world from a broader perspective, ask meaningful questions and recognise that learning can connect different areas of knowledge and experience.

Wellbeing and personal development

Confidence, relationships, safety and healthy habits

Wellbeing

Cambridge Primary supports students’ emotional and physical development, helping them understand themselves better, build healthy habits and develop a sense of safety.

Relationships and resilience

Children learn to build relationships, work with others, respond to change and make a positive contribution to their own wellbeing and that of those around them.

Why Cambridge Primary at TE Vizja?

A strong educational start

The programme builds solid foundations in language, mathematics and scientific thinking, giving children a strong starting point for further development.

Skills for life

From the very beginning, students develop collaboration, communication, independence and problem-solving - skills that stay with them throughout the later stages of education.

A holistic approach to development

Education at TE Vizja includes not only subject learning, but also wellbeing, relationships, safety and building confidence in everyday life.

Lower Secondary – building independence and strong foundations

Cambridge Lower Secondary is the next stage on the international pathway for students aged 11–14. It provides a structured yet flexible pathway that supports academic progress, skills development and preparation for the next stage of education – Cambridge IGCSE.

At this stage, students deepen their subject knowledge while also developing key academic skills: critical thinking, independent learning, research, information analysis and effective communication. The programme encourages logical argumentation, questioning and the conscious development of each student’s own learning style.

Through a broad and balanced curriculum, students learn to see the world more widely, understand connections between subjects and recognise how they can have an impact on the world around them. Lower Secondary builds strong foundations for further study in Cambridge Upper Secondary (IGCSE) and later pre-university stages of the Cambridge Pathway, Cambridge International A-Levels.

Creative and personal development

Art, collaboration, self-management and confidence

Art and creative expression

The programme supports creativity, the development of students’ own ideas and the ability to express themselves in a thoughtful and creative way.

Why choose Cambridge Lower Secondary at TE Vizja?

Strong foundations for the next stage

Our Lower Secondary Programme allows students deepen their subject knowledge while strengthening key academic skills. The programme focuses on critical thinking, independent learning, research skills, and effective communication. Students are encouraged to analyse information, develop logical arguments, and become confident learners across a broad and balanced curriculum. The programme prepares students for a smooth transition to IGCSE, building strong foundations of knowledge and skills needed for later stages of education.

Future-ready skills

Students develop critical thinking, collaboration, communication, research and independence, through Global Perspectives – skills that matter in education, work and everyday life.

International perspective and readiness for further study

The programme helps students to think more broadly about the world and build the confidence needed for further learning in an international environment.

IGCSE – a stage of choice and preparation for the next step

Cambridge IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) is one of the most widely recognised programmes in the world for secondary school students. It is a stage that combines strong subject preparation with the development of skills needed for later stages of education – both in Poland and in an international environment.

The programme develops not only subject knowledge, but also key competences: critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, independence, project work and communication in English. Teaching takes place mainly in English, which naturally supports the development of language fluency.

At the end of the programme, students sit external Cambridge examinations, the results of which are recognised worldwide. IGCSE provides a natural bridge to further study on Cambridge A-Levels or the International Baccalaureate (IB).

Unlike earlier stages of Cambridge education, A-Levels focus on in-depth study of selected subjects and allow students to build a profile aligned with their intended university course. The programme is delivered over two years and concludes with international A-Level examinations. The course is a stepped approach to exams, with students taking AS examinations at the end of year one, with the remaining at the end of the course

This is a pathway for students who want to shape their education at an earlier stage, develop in areas aligned with their academic plans and prepare consciously for further study in Poland or abroad.
